This kind of significant and repeatable skipping is nearly always caused by the arm lifting device not being properly disengaged from the arm for the entire radius of the disc. The part of the lifting device which contacts the arm in "lift" position may not be truly parallel to the arm tube so the point where it fouls the arm can be at any position across the disc depending upon is variance from correct alignment.
I don't know any details of the Elac 'table but that is what needs looking at.
