It doesn't matter as I see that Sevenoaks say in their "Ordering Information" link :"International Orders
Sevenoaks Sound & Vision will not deliver to an address outside the United Kingdom "As a general point then, goods from the UK without VAT will be 20% cheaper. However shipping is another matter and with relatively low value items that attract an import tariff it may not be economically viable. There is the shipping charge itself of course which varies from carrier to carrier. Import duty to the USA is for electrical items of this nature, from when I last looked at the tariffs, is something like 4.6%. However the main obstacle is the charge made by the carrier for handling the customs work. This is a fixed fee irrespective of the value of the item and can range from around 10 g.b.p to ( with one of the main companies) over 25 g.b.p. Dollar equivalents would apply in your case of course. Note that most exporters won't be aware of the size of these charges as they never form a part of quotes from the carriers as the exporter does not pay it. It comes as a surprise to the recipient when Mr. Fedex knocks at the door.
