I also have their 33RPM and sounds wonderful. altho, this HIP version of Requiem is love it or hate it. Hoping Linn will release more of classical music on vinyl.

This recent Argerich's unreleased early perofrmanceon DG label sounds pretty decent albeit SQ varies by the dates of recording. ( actually better than overly processed their reissues.)

This also sounds great but I don't think performance isn't the best it can be with all the talents involved.

Sokolov's DG debut album also sounds great.

This is on its way. Love Netrebko and Papano. I'm betting that this will sound pretty good.

DG's selection of new vinyl release is sort of odd. I am not sure why they wouldn't release any of Trifonov's new release in LP yet several, Mutter, Grimaud and Argerich's new releases already. I see that most of their vinyl releases have been from the past catalogue. Unfortunately those do not sound as good as ( ironically ) their current new LP releases with digitally recorded material.
I've been buying a lot of new classical music LPs but haven't had a chane to listen to them all yet. Notable miss altho, wonderful perofrmance was Tharoud's Goldberg Variations on Erato label. ( I had to return it as the pressing was flawed and the replacement also was a noisy copy ) This was the case I was better off ordering a CD as I saw zero advantage on an analogue format.

I am giving them a second chance: I just ordered this and see if the production got any better.

Also Sony is releasing a few Harnoncourt titles in LP ( also Requiem is a reissue of 90s release but hoping they put a high res. file on a record. I've the original SACD and it sounds pretty good ). Their reissue sound quality has been pretty good.



Berlin Classics also have been producing excellent classical release.



Let;s hope more classical music gets released in vinyl but the universe of the market is very limited. ( I struggle to see how could anyone can make money releasing new classical vinyl records today )
