Flood2's comments below are great so I will just add that the SC35C was intended originally for robust pro use. I used to use them as a DJ back in the 1970s. Very good for the purpose indeed. A giveaway is (was?) the blob of fluorescent orange paint on the end of the cantilever so as to aid cueing in the dark.
The V-15V is a different type of beast designed for audiophile use in the finest of systems and was the best that the Shure brothers could achieve. Far more refined sound in comparison. I never owned a V but had a couple of the earlier V-15 IIs.
