I was just going by Jelco's published specifications. What you're saying is the Jelco SA-750D is really not a 229-mm effective length tonearm but more like a 233-mm effective length tonearm. While that might be true I can only go by the published specs.

The only Jelco tonearm I have experience with is the SA-370H, which I installed on a Kenwood KD-500 turntable. It supposedly has 239-mm effective length and is designed for mounting at 222-mm. My SA-370H worked just fine with those dimensions.

It seems rather odd that Jelco would publish erroneous specifications, but you obviously have more experience with the SA-750D than I.
