If you hunt for used LPs.. YOu can see the damage.. Curious curved scratches.. at various positions. But usually long smooth crescent.
This is a changer failure.
Then the center hole of the LPs will become enlarged. Takes time. but once the hole is deformed enough, the records will slip down two at a time.
I KNOW as I used Garrard Lab80 LP changer for years.. as a youth.
It did not have the additional arm, so no crescent marks, but the center hole damage.. hell yes..
