RE: That seems highly unlikely to me.

In my experiences as an owner of multiple VPI products over several decades I've found VPI to be disorganized in various facets of conducting business. I am happy your experience(s) regarding their business practices differ from mine though that does not negate others had different experiences.

One of my observations per VPI is they have a type of class system in place. Someone states they will resolve something but then passes resolution responsibility to someone else who may even pass that responsibility on to another person. Too many cooks stirring the pot so to speak with the result that the person who actually does the work has a different idea of what the tasks are relative to what the initial person told the customer. Like that old party trick where a number of people stand in line with the 1st person telling something to the next person who repeats this to the next person who repeats this to the next person, etc. With the typical and humorous result that what the last person heard differs greatly from what the 1st person said. Such a situation or any number of other things could lead to someone not furnishing information by its due date.
