VPI is hardly so inept at biz that they'd miss a deadline for TAS's publication. Some sort of problem between the mag and VPI seems a more likely explanation. At any rate the omission is IMO ridiculous.
As to whether VPI advertises in TAS, somebody who subscribes could answer that question. Dunno if companies that don't advertise in TAS are listed in the buyers guide or not.
Anyway, TAS is not alone in ridiculousness. Just look at S'phile's rec. comp. list. As an example:
Not one preamp from -- CJ/Cary/Blue Circle/McIntosh/Joule/Lamm/AI/deHavilland/Audionote/Allnic/EAR/Aesthetix/PrimaLuna and quite a few other companies.
Absurd.
