PeteSF no matter how you cut it with either a Technics/Panasonic factory plinth, a aftermarket or custom made plinth it's going to take up a fair amount of real estate with most tonearms installed. My solution was to use a large Target wall shelf that was intended for decks like the SP-10 and other tables, Denon DP-75/80 for example, of similar size. Most current audio equipment stands weren't designed to accommodate tables of this size. Look for vintage stands/shelves.
