Yes that's the PTFE liner. Linn's dealer set up manual says do not use the black oil with white bearing liners. Period.Other sources say that the problem is limited to really early LP12s with the gold bearing housing and white liner. I suspect that Linn may have been trying to keep things simple as there are so many variants but I guess that to play safe; white liner = no black oil. The reason is that the early white liner can absorb the black oil and expands with the result that it seizes.
The OP has a Valhalla which should have a later bearing than the gold coloured one but as many owners continuously upgraded their turntables , who can tell without checking? My LP12 had only the stainless steel top plate left from the original by the time I sold it on.
