I pulled out my copy just to remind myself of this great album.
On my copy, Tommy Shannon's bass is in balance with the rest of the band. It's the overall mix that sounds off.Sounds like the mics are in another room.
My favorite is his "big label" debut on Columbia. His B.B. King cover of "Be Careful of a Fool" is a guitarists reference on "how to play a million notes fast the right way"
