When in town, and you stop by Amoeba, pick up a Record Collector -free publication.
They list all to SoCal record shops. Classical in LA area shops requires research. Most of them these days just recycle the usual suspects. Call the listings to save time.
Good stuff can be found, but prepare to drive around in traffic and then look for a parking space.
