The Amazing $100 Vinyl Rig!

$15 Klipsch KG-5 speakers. $50 Sony PS-X5 with Audio Technica cart, $15 Denon PMA-750. $20 for cables, connectors, etc.

I'm never spending big bucks on new shit again. This setup rivals (and maybe beats) my MMF-5, Outlaw RR 2150, combo costing easily over $2,000 without speakers especially if you factor in a new Goldring 1012 GX cart which alone costs almost $600.

This is the second Denon and Sony tables I have found lately in my garage sale/thrift store scrounges (it has been a great year). I jumped at the Denon after hearing another one I had repaired by a local shop (at a "staggering" total cost of $150 including repairs). This one sounds as good as the one I fixed and is in much better cosmetic shape. I will keep using it until it blows up, then repair it as well. I love the way these PMA-750 integrateds sound! The PS-5,6,7 Sony DD tables are unsung heroes! Built like tanks. Both I have found (one I paid gasp! $125 for and this one I got for a steal) work perfectly except the neon light is intermittent. I could care less.

Speakers are KG-5 that needed nothing. They don't sound as good as the Boston Acoustics A-70 speakers I got for $15 (plus $30 surround repair kit) but the SA-70 did not recieve Wife Approval. I agree they are very very ugly, but so pretty sounding. Especially with the Denon, which for they seem to have been made.
