I use discogs feature called "My collection". Each shelf letter assigned a letetr, each column and row have letters and numbers assigned. Each record has outer sleeve where I'm writing with marker shelf, row and column. in discogs collection i create folders with same locations addresses. Then when i need record, i look up collection, find address and locate record.

Addresses look like A 2 G, where first A means that record located at shelf "A"
2 means 2nd column, A means row "A"

All you need is to mark all locations and enter record into discogs collection.
