But they can be a real pain sometimes. I sold off all my turntables and was going to keep my Thorens TD-150 with Sumiko MMT arm.
Then I get intermittent channel drops. Time to rewire the thing. I got new wires took the arm apart and put it all back together. Now it hums like hell. I tried different grounding schemes to no avail. I bought a Technics Sp-25 with plinth and arm. These are pretty reliable. I couldn't live without my music. Anyway I will set the TD-150 aside and wait till I am in the mood again to work on it. Such is life....
