My music hall mmf2.2 turntable which uses a Pro-Ject synchronous M-400 began buzzing after warm up, usually playing one side of a record. The motor runs quite warm too. After cool down it makes no buzzing until it warms up.
I tried lubing motor to no avail and there is no lubing hole. I seems there is a special tool to take it apart. Music Hall says the motors go bad. I see replacement motors are available at B&H, Needle Doctor, and direct from Music Hall for $50. Do I have any other recourse or lube options to solve the problem w/o spending $50
