Finally got my JICO SAS VN35HE

And must say it is nice. A quick setup and listen shows less surface noise, none of what I considered mistracking and a better high end. It seems to give a better sound stage, but that judgement may change after spinning a few more records.

Also, the cartridge rides a good 1/16 inch higher off the vinyl. Using the old stylus it was necessary to adjust the arm with a pronounced downward slant to keep the cartridge from hitting the record. Now I can play with the SRA where before there was little room to maneuver.

All in all, to quote Bob Cratchit, I am a happy man.
