Anyone else with plosive problems on the new Beach Boys stereo reissues?

I bought three albums, Surfer Girl, Little Deuce Coupe, and Shut Down Volume 2.
Surfer Girl is beautiful, just an outstanding reissue that cuts any previous version of the album I've ever heard.
But the other two records...the sonics are spoiled by booming plosives. Plosives are mostly "P" sounds; almost every time one of the Beach Boys sings a word starting with "P" there's a sound almost like bass feedback. Which would be a possibility except I also ripped the albums to CD using headphones (no acoustic feedback to the TT) and the plosives are an issue even when I play the albums on my iPod. In other words I hear it on the speakers when I play the LPs and also hear it on headphones so it's not an acoustic feedback issue.
It's not every song but it's enough to be annoying. I don't think my original Capitol versions do that.
Anybody else notice this or is it just me?
