TP16 Head-shell Sled moving!

Thanks for your great advice...

After 5-days of bathing in CRC, the THORENS TP16 head-shell mounting plate finally began to move inside its cage. Once mobile, it was easy to reset the cartridge to the GURU settings that have worked well for me on my LP12/ITTOK/SHELTER 501 MkII.

The SHURE M91ED cartridge I have fitted sounds pretty good up top and upper mids, but seems to be a bit MIA in the lower mid-bass and bass.

With my IFI iPhono I have numerous different settings - particularly as far as load is concerned. The M91ED manual states 400-500pfd for best results, but I can't hear any difference between them at all - even with just 50pfd load.

Am I expecting too much from this front end?

Maybe the GURU settings are no good for SHURE cartridges?
