And yes, from some of your other posts I now have a better understanding of how you picked up a turntable on a road trip and that home was some distance from the dealer.
What confused me was someone with enough technical skill to properly measure voltage but not to check a switch. But then, as my wife does remind me not everyone has the same technical background as I do - after a while you take things for granted and presume that what is "common knowledge" might not be.
I don't remember stating there was a conspiracy theory, but if there was then that's how I would expect you to answer. :)
