Vinyl in Lexington KY!

Thanks to those who replied to recommend CD Central and Pops Resale for vinyl. This trip was planned, then it was off, then on again at the last minute, but it was a good day for digging vinyl. I tried Pops first, but they don't open til 11 AM. No problem, the Goodwill next door was open. I pulled 51 LP's out of there, all jazz and classical, most in NM condition, and all for 50 cents apiece. This haul included lots of ARS Jazz albums in great shape.

Then I went to Pops (didn't have much time), which was also fun. I bought 3 old 10" LP's of 20th Century classical there for about $3/disc.

After lunch I hit CD Central, a real record store though not huge. I bought 6 more LPs, mostly new, including the Heavenly Sweetness reissue of Curtis Amy's Katanga!, the record store day Jaco album, and the United Sacred Harp Convention, 1959 recorded by Alan Lomax.

Spin on!
