Vinyl Asylum Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ. |

I've been on a JJ Cale kick via Spotify while at the office and last night decided to get serious, so of course I warmed up the tubes and broke out the vinyl.
My copy of "Naturally" on Shelter sounded fantastic other than a strange sound reminiscent of the low-level "whomp, whomp, whomp" you often hear when a record is warped. However, this copy is flat and otherwise quiet. Even more odd, it went away after the first few tracks of each side.
I tried Googling and an AA search, but all I get are endless posts about actual warped records. Anyone have a similar experience? Is it likely just an odd pressing defect?
