RE: Coochie Brake...

Nice to know I'm not the only Residents fan here.

Coochie Brake is excellent. At times it reminds me of "Eskimo" with the weird otherworldly primitive vibe. One can almost imagine being drawn into the swamp listening to it. The singing in Spanish was unexpected. I'm going to burn a CD-R and send it to my niece's fiance, who speaks fluent Spanish and see what he thinks. I know he'll dig it, he's into weird music like Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, etc...

The reissue of "Fingerprince" is interesting. I was not familiar with this LP until I recently acquired it. According to the liner notes, it was their second LP chronologically, recorded in 1972 after "Meet The Residents" but before "The Third Reich And Roll." It has a transitional feel to it, with side one comprising short songs with the demented piano sound of their debut and side two being one long composition entitled "Six Things To A Cycle" which is more akin to Third Reich And Roll, Not Available, and later LPs.
