Is it worth trying to upgrade the Model 85 in order to improve my power situation -- which includes three million neighbors (population of Brooklyn), a laundromat on the first floor of my apartment building, and a subway station in the basement?
It's not the three million neighbors you should be concerned with so much. It's neighbors and businesses that share the same utility isolation power transformer with you. Their garbage on the mains becomes your garbage on the mains. No receptacle alone will filter out garbage.
Who shares your utility power transformer with you?
Pretty sure the subway station in the basement does not.
Hopefully the laundromat doesn't. Lots of garbage there.
What does share your transformer is all your fellow apartment tenants in the building.
