I read this post and remembered I had some Magic Sliders around the house. Having the sliders on hand but only some 3/16" cork sheet for damping, I gave it a try anyhow. To my surprise, it worked. My Maggies seemed to like it. Listening to some music with piano, the midrange to high frequency piano notes seemed a little harsh before. With the decoupling from this little experiment, the harshness was all but gone and I noted the improvements others here have noticed as well. Note that this was on a tile over concrete floor. I'll go out on a limb and wager that Herbie's dBNeutralizer is better at decoupling than a thin layer of cork so I'll definitely be giving the Herbie's a try.
