I also took your recco on the Lifatec Toslink. I connect my Pio soundbar to the receiver via Toslink. Had been using the el-cheapo that came with the soundbar. Put the Lifatec in the chain prior to completion of the PSU project and cannot say it made too much of a difference. Although I have a feeling that it needed the PSU implemented to really shine. As I've said, audio was immediately affected for the good once the PSU was inserted. One of these days I'll put the cheapo Toslink back in and see if I can get a handle on which one of the changes had greatest impact.
