You can use a resistor to simulate the input impedance of the the amp. You can use an old RCA connector with the load resistor in it. I Used to do this when I installed Black Gate caps (300 hrs. of burn in) with customers preamps that I upgraded. I would just turn on the tuner and preamp with the output of the preamp loaded with same value of the power amp's input. It's nice and quiet and you don't have to worry about wearing out the CD player using the "Repeat All" function. Leave it on for a week or two. Connect back into system, then sit back and enjoy!
