It depends on tuning and preference.
IF your tuning under 30hz not much air comes out because not much info is in recordings so close to the floor can extend bass some.
If your tuning above 40hz then a lot of air moves in and out because there's a lot more info in the source material. I like those ports above the woofer so the air pressure can add to the speakers punch.
