RE: X2 Capacitor usage question

A WIMA 0.1uF 250v X2 cap placed after the transformer, across the L&N of the AC outlet is more appropriate.

BTW, a WIMA 0.1uF 250v X2 cap is a proper value for the application. The poster who made the outrageous claim that a 300uF cap is "better" doesn't seem to understand the nature of a Class X2 RFI suppression safety capacitor. The largest value WIMA MKP-X2 that's available is 10uF, but I have never come across a value even that large being used for audiophile purposes, much less a 300uF capacitor! It's potentially very dangerous advice. The only time I've encountered a somewhat large value capacitor placed across the L&N of a power line conditioner is an AC-rated spearinol oil capacitor implemented for power factor correction.
