iMac "translucent/rainbow" power cord?

Hi folks,

I've read on two different forums, while looking for something else, people reporting good results with using the old Apple translucent power cords that were stock with different models of computer of the "color mac" era, e.g. iMac and such.

I remember one stating he only uses such power cords for his system, and saying "the only problem is finding them".

I do have one here, and currently using it on the external PSU of my modded Trends 10.1.

Not sure I hear any difference... maybe a bit more details and a bit more air, treble might have a bit more "zing", but maybe it's just placebo effect;

anyone ever heard of that or currently using such power cords in their audio?
