I'll go out on a limb here and suggest the EH 6922. I used them as input for a 6Y6GT amp, with LED bias, and they produce a very nice midrange and upper bass. They are not "fuzzy warm," but not cold at all, IMHO. The midrange might be called somewhat forward, but not at the sacrifice of bass or treble.
