I am currently evaluating the Treasure KT66z black bottle tubes from China. They do not have as much energy at the frequency extremes as the Gold Lion KT66 and have a warmer, "bloomier" midrange. May be just what you are looking for. The only downside is the cost.
The GL are faster more dynamic and extended, the Treasures are richer and more relaxed sounding. This is relative of course, both are still KT66s and don't sound like KT88 or EL34.
Still breaking in the Treasures and still have to compare both to the original (GEC KT66).
