Any Suggestions for Circuit Changes After Conversion?

I recall reading a comment that the triode section of the 6BL8 is similar to the triode section of the 7199 which inferred that no change would be necessary for that section. What about the pentode section?

If you converted from 7199 to one of the alternatives did you just drop it in (either with an adaptor or by rewiring the socket, of course) and hope for the best or make changes?
