I totally get what you are saying... My question to JNS was:
why the preference for vintage Siemens with the date code etched on the outside bottom vs the inside metal tag?

And, I will check with the manufactures of the DAP just how closely, if at all they need to be matched as output tubes. However, when it comes to the vintage 6922s, it doesn't seem to matter whether you are buying single or matched in terms of price...
