Unless you're going to put it in conduit, I'd suggest using the thickest gauge outdoor low voltage cable you can find. Ok, shoot me Jon, but the black low voltage wire used for Malibu lights should work and will not be affected by being outside. I'm sure it's not great speaker wire but it should work.
