RE: timing is everything..

I don't recall what model I heard at Newport, but do remember how the Audio Note speakers played my 1955 mono copy of Julie Londons "Cry me a River"
Whichever model it was, that sultry, breathy voice was in the room.

Building one of those kits no doubt is much more satisfying than just listening, but at this level of expense $, I just want to pick something out and hook them up.

A nice stained set certainly would look nicer than the Black Heco with the racing stripe. It's the narrower depth and legs on the Heco that make it stand out from all the other wide baffle, boxes. If the Heco was built with a nice veneer, instead of that stripe, it would be a serious looker- and WOULDNT be offered for $2500!
