The truest measure of speaker value?

I have no interest at all in trying any different speakers after living the past 4 years with my Reference 3A DeCapo I speakers.

Is there a better measure of speaker value? If there is I don't know what it is.

Previous speakers through the years (starting from earlier to more recent)

Jbl L-40 (1970)
Boston Acoustics A40 (1980s and 1990s)
Boston Acoustics Linnfield VR (2000)
Proac D18 (2010)
Reference 3A DeCapo I (current)

Prior to the DeCapo, the Proac were by far the best
