General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I have a pair of Vandersteen 1C speakers not using them right now bought new. I use only tube amps, should I go with low power 12 watts a pair of course or go for somewhere around 18 watts or even 30 thats where I stop.
Any experience with those tube Van combo's much appreciated.
