For years, I have owned two pairs of the Audioengine A5 speakers. One pair has been in the bedroom being used for music streaming and as external TV speakers. The other pair has been in my study, being used for music streaming from my computer.I think they’re great speakers, but that’s not reason for this post. As active speakers, there’s always a chance that a problem can develop with the amplifier. Such was the case with each pair – well after they were out of warranty. I called Audioengine support and was told that for $80 they would repair/replace the speakers. I paid for shipping one way; Audioengine paid for the return shipping. Oh yes, since the A5 speakers have been discontinued, Audioengine sent me the upgraded A5+ speakers. What more can anyone ask for?
