Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Vandersteens revisited yet again.

I went back to some brighter material and even with the known opamps, the Vandersteens with the Teflon cap by-pass sound bright to me. That means nothing until I get my speakers working again so I have a working standard to judge by. That will be several weeks at least I am told. I do have a friend with a set of these opamps who has a system he knows well, but he is swamped by life and likely will not get back to me about what he thinks of the opamps until after I get my woofer back from repair. I am sorry I posted prematurely by I really had not anticipated these results. I though I found a way for people to enjoy a very nice speaker at a really good price on the used market and was anxious to spread the word.

Best Regards,

Lou
