This afternoon tragedy struck and I blew the woofer on one of my beloved Optimus PRO- LX5II speakers. I considered myself not all that into audio but the thought of never hearing those Lineaum ribbon tweeters again makes me feel like my dog died.
So my first question for the forum is there a place that will replace the woofers. I realize these are very old speakers.
Maybe the forum could suggest a better replacement.
The Optimus were used as desktop computer speakers, driven by a small Onkyo amp through a Music Streamer II DAC from a MAC Pro Tower using Fidelia. None of this is exactly state of the art but it all worked together so well.
I'd hate to break up the band.
