I haven't heard the 107s, but I have a pair of rosewood 107/2s with a 107/2 KUBE. They are indeed superb speakers. I bought the 107/2s a couple of years ago without hearing them, based entirely on the rave reviews in Stereophile by John Atkinson and Tom Norton. The seller was very knowledgable, but had decided to try SET amplification with horn speakers. The woofer surrounds had been freshly serviced. Correspondence with the seller suggests he regrets having sold them.
For music, they are run full range; for Blu-ray, they are crossed to a pair of subs at 40 Hz. I was amazed to discover they could provide that subtle more felt than heard vibration when a low pedal note of a pipe organ is played. I had to check to convince myself the subs were not on.
