RE: Do Sound Anchors Improve the Bass of Vandersteen Speakers?

Definitely. I added them to my 2C's and it improved the bass, with both better quanitity and quality. I think the more rigid coupling is the key.

I once added spikes to some Proac Supertowers and was absolutely shocked at the improvement in bass, as well as imaging. It seems that if you hold the speaker in a fixed location, the pistonic actions all translate better, don't get blurred. The better you do this, the more faithful the signal transfer.
