If so, have you heard Thornley?
Thornley is the latest project by Ian Thornley who was the lead singer for Big Wreck. Their CD 'Come Again', really sounds nothing like Big Wreck but sounds a lot more like The Tea Party. Especially The Tea Party's latest release 'Seven Circles'. This should come as no surprise since Gavin Brown produced the Thornley disk and co-produced the Tea Party disk.
Ian doesn't have quite the same vocal quality as Jeff Martin, but he's very good in his own right.
If you're not a fan of Big Wreck, don't let that hold you back from Thornley. The two bands really have very different sounds. 'Come Again' has great song writing throughout the whole disk. Not a clunker to be found. Lots of hooks and lots of nice heavy guitar work.
Fans of The Tea Party should check out this disk (and vice versa, of course).
