...just kidding guys. My favorite albums are Number Of The Beast and Piece Of Mind, and while Maiden got stuck with that Bayley dude, Dickinson made some very welcome (and well sung) albums.
About 'analyzing' albums. As far as I know there are two ways to listen to music:- just enjoyng the tunes (that's what I do most of the time)
- or, analyzing the stuff with the ears of a schooled musician.I don't think that one is better than the other. It's my experience though that it's quite easy to analyse some popmusic to death, because in the strict musical sence it's not always that interesting. But if the tunes are cool, who gives a damn.
On the other hand, one of my friends who studies guitar, managed to explain to me - using all kind of technical details - that some country and folk is much more interesting than it seems. So having some kind of education can be very helpful sometimes.Just my 2c.
