RE: Larry Rogers (LWR) died on Monday

I am deeply saddened by this news. I've not been so regular on the forum, but I knew he was seriously ill and I had hoped he would recover. :-( Years ago Larry and I traded music video and audio on discs, and I always treasured the photos and stories he posted here. Just recently, while watching an old Stones film with my godson, I pointed Larry out, taking pictures in front of the stage. My godson thought it was so cool that I "knew" Larry (we never met, just electronic communication and media mailings).

I will miss him. I will miss his knowledge of the Dead and the San Francisco music scene. I will miss his contemporary music recommendations - which were always worth checking out. I will miss his great appreciation and love for music - which he shared so generously with all of us, enriching our own knowledge and appreciation of the same.

Fare thee well, Larry. Happy trails in the Great Beyond. Thank you for all the good stuff your shared here. You will be long-remembered.
