RE: Any New Progressive Rock Suggestions?

Based on the personal favorites you listed I would suggest...

Spock's Beard - A very melodic/catchy prog band that mixes the old with the new. The Neal Morse era albums are best. My favorite is Spock's Beard V.

Transatlantic - A modern prog rock supergroup featuring Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Pete Trewavas (Marillion) and Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings). If you like Spock's Beard you'll like Transatlantic. Their best album IMHO is Bridge Across Forever.

Porcupine Tree - Led by engineering wiz kid Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree came into existence quite by accident. The band's music has changed over time with a heavy Pink Floydish influence being heard during the early years. Shorter catchier songs became more prominent during the middle period then the band took a harder, darker turn toward the end. Porcupine Tree had a stellar peak run of studio albums starting with Stupid Dream (1999), then Lightbulb Sun (2000), In Absentia (2002) and Deadwing (2005). These four titles represent P.T. at their peak IMHO.

Anekdoten - This swedish band should scratch your King Crimson itch. If you like the Wetton/Brufford era of that iconic group then Anekdoten should interest you. I'd suggest you start with Nucleus--their second release--as it is their most progressive and challenging album.
