A little confused about "Dazed and Confused"

I am mostly a classical music listener, but I do have my favorite rock songs from my youth that I still listen to. The last few times I have heard "Dazed and Confused" on the local classic rock FM station it was studio a version in which the vocal line sounded slightly different than the one I have been listening to since 1969. The vocal track seems like a different take and not just a different mix or different transfer to CD. Sorry if this is old news for the people steeped in this stuff, but can anyone tell me about the latest versions of the first Led Zeppelin record?
