"Practice What You Preach" Shirts

In these pages, we have already discussed Testament's 1989 album, Practice What You Preach. Here and on my blog, you have seen photos of me in a "Perilous Nations" shirt, and my cousin in a "Greenhouse Effect" shirt, both from this album. Well, I recently went back to my parents' place, and lo and behold, I still have two other shirts from this era. One is white, with a cartoon caricature of the band, in a courtroom. It has tour dates on the back.

The other is black, called "Devastates California." Apparently, Testament played on back-to-back nights. First, they played on 12/16/89 in Santa Monica. Second, they played at S.F.'s Warfield on 12/17/89. Yep, this is the show my friends, including my future wife, attended. To this day, KJ maintains that this show was/is one of her all-time favorite concerts.

On the front of the shirt is the Practice What You Preach album cover. Somewhere on my blog is a photo of me in this shirt. Again, I did not know that, 25+ years later, I still have it. Alas, these shirts (they are/were XL) have shrunk, and now only fit a small child, not an adult.

Plenty of audiophiles have seen Testament in the 2000s. I don't know if any of you saw Testament during the 1989-1990 Practice What You Preach era. Whether or not you saw them back then, do any of you have any of the t-shirts from that glorious time?
