In the case of the Maazel set, where there's no multi-channel part of the disc, playback would default to two-channel (stereo). So it seems to me that you would just put the disc into your blu-ray (or universal) player and press play. Navigation between works and movements would be a bit of a chore however. It is easier with a screen, but I know many listeners eschew this convenience. ;-)
